A Milestone Reached for Academy Next Generation Leader, Kim Kita

Academy Fellow Kim Kita has spent the last two years leading the efforts to bring CSU’s vision of an international Center into reality. Kim’s focus has been to create a genuine presence for CSU in Baja California Sur such that the newly opened educational center functions as a vibrant hub for dialogue, learning, and exchange. “There are issues of deep importance in Todos Santos and in Baja California Sur; in fact, many of these issues are representative of challenges around the world. In order to address these challenges, we need to work and learn together across borders and cultures, and share our knowledge and experience.” Kim and the CSU team continue working to expand program offerings at the Center, to cultivate generations of global citizens and thriving communities through collaboration, experience, and exchange of knowledge. (Universities and professional organizations interested in conducting courses at this location can contact CSU for more information http://todossantos.colostate.edu)

Kim and the CSU team recently celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Colorado State University Todos Santos Center in Mexico. CSU’s “Source” features this exciting event in its May 1st publication.
