From 2008 to 2011, Erik supported an international NGO as a consultant, where he was exposed to the education challenges that Mexican student from low-income communities face. This experience made him decide, after 14 years of living in the USA, to go back to Mexico to incorporate the Mexican Chapter of Teach for All, which now is known as Enseña por México. Enseña por México is a social enterprise that currently works to improve academic outcomes of 22,000 underserved children, while building a movement of more than 200 top young leaders that promote a social and education change for Mexico. Erik’s experience has principally focused on developing new ventures, contracts, and partnerships between public and private entities from Mexico and the USA. Erik holds a MBA a jointly program managed by NYU, LSE, and HEC- Paris. He has specialized in Emerging Markets through studies in John Hopkins University, Fundacao Dom Cabral from Brazil and Hong Kong University. He received his BA from ITESM in Business. He is a Mexican citizen and a U.S. resident.
